ERECTION SEQUENCE
RAKE SUPPORT
STEP 1 cont.
RAKE SUPPORT METHOD 1: Notch the rake angle below the top of the eave member and secure to the corner angle. METHOD 2: Notch the rake angle below the top of the eave member, bend 90 degrees, and attach to eave member. Attach the rake support on top of the rake angle with the proper self-drilling fasteners on 2'-0" centers with a fastener in the first and last pre-punched slot. The vertical leg is to be installed flush with the steel line. Center fasteners in slots. Rake support should extend to end of roof panel at eave. FASTENER REQUIREMENTS Purlins: 1/4"-14 x 1-1/4” Shoulder fastener. Joist: 1/4"-14 x 1-1/4” Shoulder fastener (Pre-Drill bar joist as required). IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE RAKE SUPPORT IS INSTALLED STRAIGHT AND SQUARE WITH THE EAVE AS IT CONTROLS THE ALIGNMENT OF THE ROOF SYSTEM.
