All panels are to be clamped at a maximum of 10’-0” center to center with the special clamps - prior to installing clips, endlap screws or eave screws. These will aid in maintaining uniform coverage, keeping the panels from creeping, or becoming trapezoidal. Using the special clamps, clamp the two high ribs together at the eave line and at 10’-0” center to center maximum, out to the end of the panel. Locate these clamps on the purlins so that the panel clips are included in the clamp. These clamps are to stay in place until all clips and all endlap or eave screws have been installed. A clamp MUST be placed at the screw line to the eave strut. This will compress the "Pig-tail" mastic to both high ribs. With the clamps in place, install the four eave screws in the sequence shown. These screws are normally 1/4"-14 x 1-1/4” WT fasteners - roof color. Refer to the erection drawings for the actual screw call out. Eave strut screws MUST be installed prior to the removal of the clamps. Install clips as described in Step 5.
