SEAMING INSTRUCTIONS

SEAMING OPERATION Hand seaming panels must be done in two steps.

STEP 1: Position the end of the hand seaming tool flush with the end of the roof panel.

STEP 1

STEP 2: Hold the stationary blade solidly against the top of the seam. Make sure that the flat side of the crimper is on the panel rib shoulder and the crimper hook is under the female lip. Rotate the operating handle 90 degrees or until it stops to form the seam. This should be done three times which produces a finished 24” long seam.

NOTE: At the first panel at the gable ends of the building the panel must be screwed to the panel clips. See the MVF/MVP installation manual and erection drawings for additional details.

The seam is now ready to accept the electric seamer.

CAUTION It is critical that the panel seams are crimped and folded as shown before using the electric seamer. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in damaged seams.
