SEAMING INSTRUCTIONS

SEAMING OPERATION

NOTE: The electric seamer will operate in both directions.

Set the electric seamer on the seam with the locking arms up and to the open side of the seam. The rear wheels should be at the edge of the panel. Check to insure that all rollers of the electric seamer are on the finished portion of the seam. Push the locking arms down to engage the rolls and turn on the seamer. Seamer rollers may need to be cleaned of mastic, dirt, metal shavings or other foreign materials. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure the rollers are clean. CAUTION Seamer operation should be closely supervised at all times. A safety tag should be attached to the seamer.

LOCKING ARM (Pull down)

Stop seamer about one foot from ridge or eave depending on seaming direction. Disengage locking arms and remove the electric seamer. Finish seam with hand seaming tool. Repeat this procedure for all roof panels. This electric seamer is bidirectional, it can travel up or down the slope seaming the roof panel.
